This project was one of the first shot for the two premiere episodes of the our new HGTV series Pop Shop, which aired first on Friday, February 17th, 2012. Check out your local listings for possible repeats.

The Rosenthals had a beautiful great room that they had divided uncomfortably into a separate living room and dining room. We opened the room up so that it felt like one cohesive space. The inspiration for this room was “Bring the Outside In.” The room had great windows and a door opening to their back yard, and so they wanted a true California outside/inside feeling, but in a TINI way. A real swing instead of a side chair, custom built bookshelves using vintage crates, a carousel horse turned into a chandelier, high end turf used as a rug, and a stunning piece of artwork from artist Jordan Carlyle were some of the highlights of the design.
