Ladies and gentlemen, this sure isn’t ikea, but we still smell a bargain…

It’s rare that we find a store that not only has a selection of furniture and accessories that remind us of an awesome flea market stall but that also has prices that remind us more of craigslist than an LA showroom. Well, ladies and gentlemen, this sure isn’t Ikea, but we still smell a bargain: TINI or This is Not Ikea, has been around for a while as a great online store and a series of storage spaces filled with treasure. Vintage accessories like typewriters, chrome lamps, pop art posters along with industrial style chairs and tables, mid century chairs and regency style lamps are all on file at TINI. But no longer must we all bug Alexis, proprietor and man with an eye for a bargain, every time we see something we like.

Now we can stop by the storefront on Fairfax (right next door to Mani’s) and search out our own treasure. The space is large and packed. And if you’re worried they’ll run out, don’t worry, they’ve got more in storage. We would recommend, however, that if you’re interested in something you’ve seen on the website that you call the store and make sure it’s still there (we’ve been disappointed a couple of times).

They’ve been called the best of craigslist and we wouldn’t disagree. They have a surprising selection of items in good condition and when you don’t have time to make it to the Rose Bowl, this is your place!
